Job Description St. Mary’s Springs Academy is seeking a Full-Time Spanish Teacher who will be responsible for teaching multiple sections of Spanish I to 9th graders and also a Spanish Exploration course for 8th graders for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The candidate has a passion for teaching introductory Spanish and is eager to join our spirited faculty and community of learners. The ideal candidate enjoys serving teenagers, is collaborative with colleagues, prioritizes differentiated instruction and assessment, and can successfully integrate technology into daily teaching practice. Examples of Duties - Teaching multiple grade levels by designing lesson plans that meet developmental needs. Required Experience or Qualifications A qualified candidate must be able to abide by the Wisconsin high school Spanish teaching standards are governed by the Wisconsin Standards for World Languages (WSWL), which focus on student proficiency and cultural competence. High School Spanish Teacher
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish or education is required. Ideally, the candidate shall have prior teaching experience, however, applicants need not be a licensed instructor. The successful SMSA teacher is a flexible, enthusiastic, team player eager to grow professionally and personally, and can successfully collaborate with colleagues to support positive school culture. A practicing Catholic is preferred but not required.

- Providing students with appropriate classroom lessons, assessments, and homework/ projects that offer meaningful feedback to students.
- Professional grading and academic record keeping along with other administrative tasks or supervisory duties typically expected of teachers and assigned by the principal.
- Engaging with professional development inservices and other duties as assigned by the principal.
- Contributing to the professional learning community at SMSA as inspired, needed or assigned.
Teachers are expected to align instruction with the WSWL education, focusing on goal areas of Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities within core learner practices for each Communication standard and also within the new standard for Global Competence and Community Engagement
- A Bachelor's Degree in Spanish or Education from an accredited college or university
- DPI License to teach high school in the State of Wisconsin
- Experienced teacher and/or strong desire to teach high school students
- Every teacher shall become Safe Environment Education (SEE) trained through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.Additional Info
